Silambarasan “Simbu” Thesingu Rajendar is an Indian actor, director, music composer, dancer, lyricist, and interpreter of Tamil reading music. He was born on February 3, 1983, under the name S. T. R. Before landing his first lead role in Kadhal Azhivathillai (2002), directed by his father and produced by his mother Usha, he began his career in films directed by his father, T. Rajendar. His mother, Usha Rajendar, is an ex-actress, and his father, T. Rajendar, is an Indian politician, music composer, and actor. Ilakiya and Kuralarasan Rajendar, Simbu’s younger siblings, are siblings.

Silambarasan was the eldest child of T. Rajendar and Usha Rajendar and was born on February 3, 1983, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Simbu started working in the film industry when he was young. He appeared in a lot of his father’s movies until he starred in Kadhal Azhivathillai in 2002, which was his first lead role as a hero.
