Poornima Ravi, Tamil Television industry Actress, dancer, and YouTuber. She is most recognized for operating the Araathi YouTube channel. She began her professional life as a computer programmer before quitting to chase her dream of becoming a content creator, Blogging and Vlogging. Later, in order to pursue her passion, she signed up to the Nari Kootam YouTube channel. Poornima has appeared in a variety of projects, including “Hey Sanda kaari” and In “My Vazhkai”. Araathi Poornima is currently a potential contestant on Season 7 of Bigg Boss Tamil show hosted by Kamal Hasaan.

Youtuber Poornima Ravi’s Early Life

On October 5, 1995, in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, to the couple of Ravi Somasundaram and Usha Ravi, Poornima Ravi was born. Her mother works as an educator in a local school in her town. She earned a college degree from VIT University in Vellore after completing her school education from Shrishti Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Vellore.

As she studied, she landed a campus interview at Cognizant, opening doors to a job in Chennai. She juggled her new job with acting on YouTube channels on weekends, balancing work and passion like a pro. Her salary of Rs. 25,000 helped tide her family over rough times, marked by her brother’s unemployment, her sister’s pregnancy, and an education loan.

A golden opportunity knocked when she was offered a shoot in Madurai for Rs. 40,000 a month. Lured by the prospect of easing her family’s financial burden, she took the plunge, keeping her decision under wraps. However, fate had other plans, and she was unceremoniously ousted from the channel for unknown reasons. Though disheartened, she refused to give up on her dreams. With unwavering grit and determination, she persevered, knowing that her journey was just beginning.

Poornima Ravi’s Career

Under the spotlight of a new YouTube channel called Araathi, Poornima Ravi emerged as a shining star. She was the sole lead artist, and her videos quickly captured the hearts of viewers, amassing millions of views and thousands of subscribers.

Poornima’s journey to YouTube fame began when she joined a team that was working on creating a female-centric channel. When the spotlight hit her, she embraced the challenge with passion and determination. Each video was a labour of love, as Poornima took on all the roles. As a result of her hard work, she paid off as her videos resonated with viewers on a deep level.

There she was, ascending the ladder to fame amid the renowned YouTube artists. Her popularity reached its peak with the concept Murai Maman, where she starred alongside her teammate Madhan. Despite having a small team, she credits them as the pillars of her success.

Back in her college days, she would tease her friends with the nickname Karuppi (black tone). She adopted that name for her YouTube channel, Adiye Karuppi. Recently, she has ventured into films, with short films like Ozhukkam Kelaayo (2019), Kaarigai (2019), and Koolaru Kaadhal (2018) to her credit.
